Privacy Policy
Effective September 30, 2026
The short version. We never store the photo you take. There is no sign-up, so we never ask for your name, email, or phone number. We keep the plush images you make so they can live on your shelf, and you can delete all of it from the app at any time. No ads and no tracking across other apps. We count how the app is used, with no photos or names attached, so we can make it better.
This policy explains how the Plushmo app ("Plushmo", "we", "us") for iPhone and Android handles information. If you have a question, email support@plushmo.com.
Your photos
When you make a Plushmo, the photo you take or pick is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which passes it to Google's Gemini image model to create the plush image. The original photo is held in memory only for that request and is discarded as soon as the plush is made. We do not save it, and we do not use it to train any model. Google processes the image under its API terms for paid services, which do not permit using it to improve Google's products.
What we keep
- An anonymous user ID. The app creates a random ID the first time it opens so your shelf belongs to you. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple or Google account.
- Your plushes. The generated plush image, its name, personality line, rarity, fabric, and the time it was made. These are stored privately and shown only to you through short-lived links.
- Purchase status. Whether you have Plush Pro. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your card details.
- Notification token (optional). If you allow notifications, a device token so we can tell you when your Plushmo is ready, plus two simple tags: whether you have Plush Pro and how many plushes you have made.
- Usage events. Simple records of what happens in the app, like "a plush was made", "the Plush Pro screen was opened", or "a purchase finished", with basic details such as the fabric picked, rarity, how long sewing took, app version, and device model. These are tied only to your anonymous ID. They never include your photos, plush images, plush names, or anything you type. We use them to see where the app works well and where it gets stuck, and to decide which notifications and in-app messages to show you.
What we do not collect
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or contacts
- Precise or approximate location
- Advertising identifiers, browsing history, or cross-app tracking
- Screen recordings, taps on specific parts of the screen, or your IP address for analytics
Who helps us run Plushmo
We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job listed. We do not sell or share your information for advertising.
| Provider | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Hosting, database, and storage | Anonymous ID, your plush images and details |
| Google (Gemini API) | Turns your photo into a plush | Your photo, for the length of one request |
| RevenueCat | Confirms Plush Pro purchases | Anonymous ID, purchase receipts from Apple or Google |
| OneSignal | "Your Plushmo is ready" notifications and in-app messages | Anonymous ID, device token, the two tags above, usage events |
| PostHog | Usage analytics, so we can see how the app is used | Anonymous ID, usage events, app version and device model |
| Apple and Google | App stores and payments | Handled under their own privacy policies |
Children
Plushmo is made for families and is rated 4+. It is set up so a grown-up is in charge: purchases and links that leave the app sit behind a parent gate. We do not knowingly collect personal information such as names, emails, or contact details from anyone, including children. Because photos are never stored and the app has no accounts, profiles, chat, or public sharing inside the app, there is nothing to publish or share without a grown-up choosing to do so through the device's own share sheet. If you believe we hold information about your child that you want removed, use Delete my data in the app or email us.
How long we keep things
Photos: not kept at all. Plushes and your anonymous ID: until you delete them or delete your data. Usage events: kept by PostHog and OneSignal for up to 24 months, then deleted. If the app goes unused for 24 months, we may delete the data tied to that anonymous ID.
Deleting your data
Open Settings in the app and tap Delete my data. This permanently removes your plushes, their images, and your anonymous user record from our servers. It also disconnects your past usage events from you, since they were tied only to that ID; email us with your support ID if you want those erased too. You can also delete a single plush from your shelf. Uninstalling the app does not delete your data on its own, so tap Delete my data first. If you have already uninstalled, email us with the support ID from Settings if you have it and we will help.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR in the UK and EU, or CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to object to certain processing. Most of this you can do in the app. For anything else, email support@plushmo.com with the support ID from Settings and we will respond within 30 days. We process information to provide the service you asked for.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections and is stored in private storage with access rules that limit each user to their own plushes. No system is perfect, but we keep what we hold small on purpose.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will let you know in the app.
